One of the main reasons I started Shalimar Studios was because of my family. I wanted to turn my passion for photographing and documenting my family, into a gift and service I can provide for other families as well. So with family and wedding portraiture being the basis of Shalimar Studios, I never take a portrait session lightly. And when I recently visited Milwaukee over Memorial Day weekend, you can sure bet I took along my camera gear to capture great images as my family grows and expands.
While in Milwaukee, I was very lucky to see and spend time with the oldest and youngest of my nieces and nephews, spanning 18 years! First I photographed my younger brother Jamil with his wife Ratna and their 7 month old baby, Zarek. I know every baby is beautiful, but this little character Zarek is one special kid. With eyes larger than saucers and darling dimples to match, it was hard not to take some great portraits of them. Having the opportunity to photograph my brother's family as is grows and expands is so very rewarding.

I was also blessed to see and spend time with my niece Sabrina who had just graduated from high school, so of course we had to run out and grab some portraits of her too. I am very close to Sabrina and many comment that she looks a lot like me. I love her dearly and am excited to see her blossom even more into a wonderful young lady.
