Sulabh & Reepa, an Indian Bride & Groom Session

Last month when I was going through images for the 2012 year-end slideshow, I came across these portraits of Sulabh & Reepa which have yet to be posted and shared.  Every time I look at these images I'm taken back to the day in June when we met for their bridal session in the old ghost town of Nelson.  Bridal sessions are not uncommon and ones that I enjoy because there are no time constraints such as on the actual wedding day.  Sometimes a couple's original wedding photos have become lost due to fire, or stolen or simply the couple was unhappy with what their photographer captured, so they'll contact us for a special bridal session to photograph them.

As you can see here, both Reepa & Sulabh have gorgeous natural smiles, and you can't help but feel the warmth of their personalities which emmanated from them through out the whole session.  I'm so thankful they wore their Indian bridal and grooms outfits for this session as it really exemplified their newlywed bond even though they've been married for many years.  And how unbelievably gorgeous is that bridal jewelry Reepa was wearing?  The Oscars have nothing on her!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT yasmin

I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments.

I believe in creating images that demand to be printed—framed in fine art materials and displayed as the heirlooms they're meant to become. My approach is both editorial and intimate, capturing not just faces but the emotional landscape of your life. Each portrait is thoughtfully composed to reveal your authentic story while honoring the beauty of the world around you. Your journey is extraordinary and entirely your own, and I'm here to preserve it with the artistry it deserves.
