I'm always on the look out for new advances in the field of photography so that I can provide my clients the best images and experience. One such recent advancement was the invention of the Lytro camera and I'm proud to say I'm one of the first in the state of Nevada to own one. I've been playing around with it for about a month now, taking it on vacations, to an engagement session and even on a recent studio session.
The software and technology implemented into this small, handheld device is mind blowing, and it will be hard to comprehend the potential of this new product without a visual demonstration. So when I found a recent TED talk by the Lytro founder, Ren Ng, I knew I wanted to share it with you all as this is the direction the photographic industry is headed. I will soon be launching an option for hybrid portrait sessions including images from the Lytro available for purchase. You'll be the first in the entire state to own and share such powerful images.
