Philly Family

They giggled when I asked them how they met.  Frank looked at Tanika, and Tanika looked at Frank.  I could see that they were hesitant and a little embarrassed to tell me.  They confessed they didn't have a traditional story, and so they admitted they met through  Match.com.  As unconventional as that sounds, the online giant brought together Tanika and Frank in a way they never thought possible.  And so they traveled to Las Vegas where they are to wed today at the MGM.

When I first met Tanika, Frank, Dylan (17 years old), Jacob (11 years old) and Illyas (9 years old), I knew their laid-back attitudes and calm personalities would be a joy to work with.  Tanika and I had emailed back and forth a few times as this portrait session was a gift from Tanika's aunt Beverly.  Beverly had found me online and emailed me from Georgia about her niece's upcoming nuptials in Las Vegas, and that she wanted to give the bride and groom a special gift.  We discussed a few options, and settled upon a family portrait session.   Tanika wanted to includ in the session her and Frank's mixed family of 3 handsome young men, Dylan, Jacob and Illyas.  Not the conventional shy boys, these 3 played along and had fun throughout our time together, and even had me laughing from behind the camera.

Tanika and Frank, I wish you all the best on your wedding today, and hope that as you bring your 2 families together, that you will be able to continue the laughter and love that I was able to capture during your session.  Best wishes!

I’M  YASMIN

Portrait, Branding, Fitness & Studio PHOTOGRAPHER

Fueled by equal parts Earl Grey tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
