Taking a moment to quiet myself and reflect on today. I am so grateful for the freedom and opportunities afforded to me by the hard work and sacrifice of otehrs, from our forefathers and all the way to my parents who immigrated to the US. My parents arrived here in the US in a beat up Volkswagen Bug, with my older brother, 1 suitcase and a stroller ironically on July 4, 1968. And from there, making only $200 a month on my Dad's physician salary, my parents worked hard, took advantage of the opportunities in front of them, excelled to be considered a shining example of the American Dream. No where else in the world would a story like this have been possible to come to fruition. I'm thankful every day to be a citizen of a country that no matter where you come from, what language you speak, how much education or money you have, through the opportunities and freedoms in this country, and shear hard work, you can live out the dreams you are destiinted to fulfill.
Happy Independence Day from Presley and I, and God Bless America!
