I’m honored to be featured in Arizona Foothills Magazine’s “Trendsetter to Know” series! The conversation gave me the chance to reflect on what drives my work—using photography not just to create beautiful images, but to tell stories that inspire compassion and change.

As the daughter of immigrants, I grew up navigating two cultures, which shaped how I see the world and approach storytelling. That dual perspective has been invaluable throughout my photography career, from documenting humanitarian issues across Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, and the Middle East, to partnering with organizations fighting sex trafficking, supporting girls’ education, and combating animal poaching.

From Documentary Work to Fine Art

The natural evolution of my photography journey led me to launch a fine art print business, transforming over a decade of images into curated collections. What makes this especially meaningful is that several collections donate a portion of proceeds to partner charities—extending the impact of my documentary work and giving art lovers the opportunity to give back through their purchases.

My goal has always been to forge connections between the viewer and the subject. By highlighting our commonalities across different countries, climates, and cultures, I hope to create understanding and remind us that we all want the same fundamental things: food, shelter, health, love, and safety.

Looking Ahead

Whether I’m photographing families here in Fountain Hills or documenting stories halfway across the world, my mission remains the same—to inspire change through visual storytelling and help others see the world from a different perspective.

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT yasmin

I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments.

I believe in creating images that demand to be printed—framed in fine art materials and displayed as the heirlooms they're meant to become. My approach is both editorial and intimate, capturing not just faces but the emotional landscape of your life. Each portrait is thoughtfully composed to reveal your authentic story while honoring the beauty of the world around you. Your journey is extraordinary and entirely your own, and I'm here to preserve it with the artistry it deserves.
