A Personal Touch

Today, I am humbled.  Humbled because a client touched me the way I strive to touch my clients.  It was not done in person, it was not done over the phone, email or text.  It was a hand-written letter I received in the mail from an out-of-state client.

These days the art of a handwritten letter has been lost, so when I receive one, it reminds me of the days of sitting down at my parent's kitchen table, spending time thinking about what I wanted to write and how to effectively convey that message.  I had my #2 pencil in hand, and most likely a big pink eraser not far from reach in case I misspelled a word, or didn't like the way my handwriting looked.  It was at those times that I would carefully evaluate my handwriting and if it didn't look perfect to me, I would re-write the word.  I wanted it to be perfect because I wanted to make sure my message came through clearly and with the best of intentions and also looked pretty.  I would read it over and over again (much like my blog entries!) making sure the grammar was correct and that the message flowed freely.

So with great gratitude, I will keep this letter from my clients.  They conveyed their message perfectly, with love, with gratitude for my photographic expertise, and with warmth.  I can only hope that I can bring love and warmth to your portrait sessions and experiences with me.  Many thanks to my clients Mike & Betty for reminding me about the important things in life.

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT yasmin

I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments.

I believe in creating images that demand to be printed—framed in fine art materials and displayed as the heirlooms they're meant to become. My approach is both editorial and intimate, capturing not just faces but the emotional landscape of your life. Each portrait is thoughtfully composed to reveal your authentic story while honoring the beauty of the world around you. Your journey is extraordinary and entirely your own, and I'm here to preserve it with the artistry it deserves.
