A Little of What I've Been Working On

Sometimes I have so many great projects going on that I get behind on blogging and sharing images.  In those cases, I usually will post a sneak peek on my Facebook page and then put up a full blog post when I have all the images completed from a particular shoot.  But before I can fully release any shoots, I'm going to share a little of what has been taking up my time lately.

Here is one of my favorite images from a shoot with Taylor from Envy Model Management.  Taylor recently changed her hair color so she needed new images for her portfolio and comp cards.  I enlisted hair and makeup team Shali Torres and Brandy Norris to come to the studio and work their magic and viola, a gorgeous Taylor in all her beauty!

A big surprise for Taylor's shoot was to add male model Thomas from the Envy office in New York into the mix.  I had photographed Thomas earlier this year when I was in New York and he just happened to be here in Las Vegas so he joined in on the fun.  I photographed both him and Taylor individually, as well as together and wow, were those images amazing!  For now, here's a sneak peek of one of Thomas' mor edgy looks.

Another shoot that has been in the works for many months was this one with model Khalilah Yasmin and a Jungle Carpet Python provided by my friend Beau.  God bless Khalilah, because I could not have been in her position and not scream my head off, and it's better to have me behind the camera any way.  Poor Beau not only had to handle his snake, but deal with 4 squeemish ladies on set!  You would never guess by the image of Khallilah below that is was a bit of an uncomfortable situation but she put on her game face and rocked it out!

Stay tuned to the full shoots being posted soon!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT yasmin

I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments.

I believe in creating images that demand to be printed—framed in fine art materials and displayed as the heirlooms they're meant to become. My approach is both editorial and intimate, capturing not just faces but the emotional landscape of your life. Each portrait is thoughtfully composed to reveal your authentic story while honoring the beauty of the world around you. Your journey is extraordinary and entirely your own, and I'm here to preserve it with the artistry it deserves.
