Thrilled to share that I was featured in a two-part interview on Matt Addington’s “A Thousand Words” podcast, where we dove deep into my photography journey, humanitarian work, and the stories behind my images.
From Lobsters to Impactful Images
In this conversation, I shared how my photography career took shape in the most unexpected place—working in the lobster industry in Las Vegas! But after a pivotal conversation with my mom, I felt called to pursue a more humanitarian approach to my work. That conversation sparked a major shift in my career toward documenting stories of disadvantaged people around the world.
Photography with Purpose
I opened up about my partnerships with organizations fighting sex trafficking, advocating for girls’ and women’s rights and education, and combating animal poaching. Through my work with S.A.F.E. Kenya, American Wild Horse Campaign, and The Great Plains Foundation, I’m using photography as a tool for change—with proceeds from my fine art prints directly supporting these causes.
As I shared in the interview: “It is my goal to inspire compassion and a connection between the viewer of the image and the subject. By finding our commonalities, played out in different countries, climates and clothes, it brings us closer together.”
