There’s something truly special about photographing a multi-dog household, especially when each pup brings their own unique personality to the session. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Anika and her incredible pack of three during one of my annual pet portrait fundraisers – and what a wonderful experience it was!

Anika’s family includes two stunning Beaucerons: Suriya and her adorable puppy Risotto, along with Hazel, a sweet pit mix who rounds out this beautiful crew. If you’re not familiar with Beaucerons, these French herding dogs are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and striking appearance – and Suriya and Risotto absolutely embody these qualities. Watching Risotto’s puppy energy alongside Suriya’s more seasoned presence, with Hazel joining in the fun, made for such dynamic and heartwarming moments to capture.

What made this session even more meaningful was that the session fee was donated directly to Upright Canine Brigade in honor of Suriya’s condition. This organization does incredible work supporting dogs with medical challenges, and it was an honor to contribute to their mission while creating lasting memories for Anika and her pack.

My annual pet portrait fundraisers are one of my favorite ways to combine my passion for dog photography with giving back to the rescue and animal welfare community here in Arizona. Over the years, we’ve raised over $3,100 for various animal rescues, and each session reminds me why this work matters so much.
If you’re interested in participating in future fundraiser sessions or booking a pet photography session for your own furry family members, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you have one dog or a whole pack, every pet deserves to have their personality and spirit captured beautifully.
