Dave and Angie are one of those couples that are so in love, that the world could fall apart around them and they wouldn’t even notice. Their mutual respect and admiration are unbeatable, and you can’t help but completely fall in love with them. Here is their touching story as told to me by Dave.
He would go outside on a smoke break at work, and she would tell him he should quit smoking. Little did he know, she also was a smoker, but just didn’t do it at work. After finding out her name from coworkers, Dave made an effort to strike up a conversation with Angie, trying to find out more about what made this woman tick. Work conversations lengthened and eventually they would meet at a local Starbucks for more one-on-one time. Starbucks turned into movie and dinner dates, and eventually a proposal and marriage.
Six years later, Dave approached me to photograph him and his lovely bride Angie for their anniversary. We headed up to Mount Charleston, just outside of Las Vegas where they spent part of their honeymoon. Cabin 17 was theirs for the weekend with a perfect view of the mountains from their deck. After capturing a few pictures in front of their cabin, we headed deeper into the woods. The weather was a cool 70ish degrees, and the smell of the fresh air and pine needles refreshed our senses.
With playful personalities in hand, I was able to capture some beautiful moments between Dave and Angie. But the most poignant moment was when Dave shared the significance of the date they were married on. They married on June 5th, 2004, at 3pm in the afternoon. That is where 2 people became 1. 6,5,4,3,2,1. Cheesy to some, Dave explained, but significant and heart melting to others. Dave and Angie thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend some time with you, and share in your special anniversary. I wish many more years of love and happiness for the 2 of you.
