2019 Year End

Just like many of you, the year’s end brings thoughts of reflection, gratitude and hope for the coming year. We review what the past 12 months brought us, see where we thrived and where we need to grow. As I did the same, I realized that 2019 not only brings an end to the decade, but also marks a decade’s worth of Shalimar Studios.

I started Shalimar Studios in Las Vegas as acting upon my passion and hobby of photography. I was working a full-time job and also working at a local photography studio in Las Vegas part-time. All my free time went towards learning as much as I could about photography, and when I felt my skill level was up to par, I started my business. I built Shalimar Studios for 4 years before making the transition to running it full time and I can honestly say it has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made.

Over the past 10 years I’ve bared witness to you, my clients’ most memorable and life-changing moments. From surprise engagements, to weddings, to newborn sessions, to graduations, new jobs and new ventures, to charitable events and even the loss of loved ones. I hope you know that I honor each and every one of those life moments for you. My archive is a constant reminder of life’s most important milestones, and I firmly believe these images will outlive us and tell beautiful narratives of our lives and those we love.

Looking back over the past 10 years, I see the growth I’ve made personally and professionally, and fondly see the correlations to how each of your lives have grown and changed too. I eagerly look forward to this new decade, taking new avenues with my photography and utilizing it in a way to capture you, your families and your life milestones in ways to touch your heart. My goal is to capture imagery that speaks without a word. That is my promise and pledge to you.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2020!

Warmest Regards, Yasmin

I’M  YASMIN

Portrait, Branding, Fitness & Studio PHOTOGRAPHER

Fueled by equal parts Earl Grey tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
